my only queasy ness is that the ideology of Likud and the more radical parties in Israel is pretty bad as well. I appreciate calling out Islamist, but…
Lots of Israelis are uncomfortable with those parties too. But gays can live safely in Israel. There have been gays in military openly in Israel for years way before here in US. Queers for Palestine makes no sense.
> I respect the gay and lesbian distaste for the word “queer,” acknowledging that for many its embrace by the modern version habit of everyone wanting to be under the umbrella as trans or allies reminds them of how the word was spat at them while they were being stomped and beaten.
Stop it with the PC grovelling. It's just embarrassing.
"The Muslim women have a no lesser role than that of men in the war of liberation; they manufacture men and play a great role in guiding and educating the [new] generation."
Their role is to bear children and raise them with Islamic values.
You shouldn't mention Christianity in this context though. The Bible has conservative teachings about women (that many Christians ignore) but violators are not stoned, and Christian women should follow these things out of true belief only.
"the horrific and murderous Hamas attack on Israelis" - which is an expected result of the 56 year illegal and harsh imprisonment of millions of native arabs via white colonists from US and europe.
"Most baffling is the support that is being shown by progressives who also claim to be intersectional feminists" - oh boy, here comes the misogyny and religious bigotry.
"Islamists who use terror to attempt to destroy Israel." - Israel is under no threat. what hamas did was a crime. but this crime doesnt threaten israel. every US city has similar crime. guess what? they dont respond by bombing towns
"In the Muslim world" - last i checked no one in the muslim world is holding millions of people in an endless harsh prison for the past 56 years as a cynical attempt to ethinically cleanse natives from areas they have lived for 1000s of years.
end the occupation and all these issues are resolved. then you can go back to complaining about peoples clothing and stuff like that
the US also had a big problem at its start: slavery. it wasnt easy but the US resolved its issue. we even fought a civil war over it. israel doesnt want to resolve this issue in a honest way. its settlement policy shows their goal is illegal ethnic cleansing of millions of native ppl. this surpasses any crime hamas delivers by 10000 times. it also puts the US at risk as 8 billion people observe the 75 year slow motion car crash called israel that zionists cynically and dishonestly continue. this hamas attack was what israel wanted. if you dont know that ur not paying attn.
firstly, i dont belive that for a second. its just Israeli propaganda slogan #456. its a meaningless phrase. hamas doesnt speak for most the native arabs. and palestinas showed prior to oslo they are ready for peace. the problem is israel doesnt want peace. they have plans for ethnic cleansing. so, israel has no intrest in peace and is doing everything it can to foment conflict. it isnt easy to get the native arabs to fight back. but israel is having some success with it.
2nd, arabs and hamas are not any threat to israel. what hamas did was a crime , but it doesnt threaten israel.
Take it to someone else's blog. Israel and the Palestinians were both promised homelands at the fall of the Ottoman empire, neither have exclusive claim to the land. The fact is that other Arab states have been fueling the terrorism in an effort to drive the Israelis out. Hamas is evil and terroristic and if you justify their horrendous act, leave.
for the record. you lost this conversation. all uv done is cling tight to bigoted tropes about the issue. uv swallowed carefully crafted propaganda spoon fed to dummies to promote a Holocaust you support. the nazis lied about jews. they said jews were a threat. and now israel is lying about arabs. arabs arent a threat. but the effect is the same. congrats on supporting genocide
> and palestinas showed prior to oslo they are ready for peace
What they were saying in Arabic was that the treaty was a temporary measure for them to build up their strength. Come to think of it, those are the only kinds of treaties with infidels that Islam allows.
> 2nd, arabs and hamas are not any threat to israel.
They're not a total threat at the moment because Israel works hard to keep it that way.
While Western civilisation waits for "enlightened" Islam and it is believed that the change must come from the Muslims themselves, some of them abandon the reforming critical eyes and silence them because it is allegedly "stigmatising".
There will never be an enlightened Islam because Islam can never be reformed as the Christian church was. Islam will forever be stuck in the 8th century and will be so as long as the Koran is printed in Farsi and never translated out. According to them, t is the pure form of the words spoken by Mohammed.
Islam is still stuck in the 8th century. They haven't had a reformation or had anyone like Francis Bacon speak out against the Original translation of Arabic. Nobody has ever said, "Hey, it's the 15th, 20th, 21st century; maybe we shouldn't act this way."
Islam is still calling anyone who offends Mohammed an infidel.
Christianity has changed a lot since the 8th century. So has any other religion. But Islam is still the same. Christians no longer kill each other in the name of Christ. But Muslims still kill in the name of Allah, and Mohammed is still the perfect man. Since the 8th century, Christ went from the literal son of god to the son of man under god's divine guidance, to a mystical king, was killed, rose from the dead, didn't rise from the dead, and the hymns have gone from Latin to Greek, to English, French, etc. Very few people read the original Aramaic language anymore, but the Koran is still in Arabic.
Yes, one could interpret that. Once Francis Bacon put his 27 theses on the door, original Christianity disappeared. It's been a living religion, changing as the times change. I fear that it's changing yet again, and not for the best. It's welcoming deviants into its body and forgetting its mission. I fear it's going to fall to Marxism.
mike you always state the facts so we’ll.

Yes, there are nationalist elements within Likud that make me queasy, too.

Say what now?
The role of Muslim women in Article 17 of the Hamas Charter:
https://irp.fas.org/world/para/docs/880818.htm
"The Muslim women have a no lesser role than that of men in the war of liberation; they manufacture men and play a great role in guiding and educating the [new] generation."

The walls didn't used to be there. They gradually went up in response to terrorist attacks.
the US also had a big problem at its start: slavery. it wasnt easy but the US resolved its issue. we even fought a civil war over it. israel doesnt want to resolve this issue in a honest way. its settlement policy shows their goal is illegal ethnic cleansing of millions of native ppl. this surpasses any crime hamas delivers by 10000 times. it also puts the US at risk as 8 billion people observe the 75 year slow motion car crash called israel that zionists cynically and dishonestly continue. this hamas attack was what israel wanted. if you dont know that ur not paying attn.

They issue being that many Arabs and Hamas in particular believe it has no right to exist.
firstly, i dont belive that for a second. its just Israeli propaganda slogan #456. its a meaningless phrase. hamas doesnt speak for most the native arabs. and palestinas showed prior to oslo they are ready for peace. the problem is israel doesnt want peace. they have plans for ethnic cleansing. so, israel has no intrest in peace and is doing everything it can to foment conflict. it isnt easy to get the native arabs to fight back. but israel is having some success with it.

The PLO was saying the same thing.

Consider taking your own advise.
> Islam will forever be stuck in the 8th century and will be
What do you mean by that? It is currently the 21th century and Islam is here right now.
> so as long as the Koran is printed in Farsi and never translated out.
The Koran is in Arabic, BTW.
> They haven't had a reformation or had anyone like Francis Bacon speak out against the Original translation of Arabic.
What does any of that have to do with the 8th century?
Is your claim that the laws of nature (or at least human nature) somehow changed between the 8th and 15th centuries?
Christianity has changed a lot since the 8th century. So has any other religion. But Islam is still the same. Christians no longer kill each other in the name of Christ. But Muslims still kill in the name of Allah, and Mohammed is still the perfect man. Since the 8th century, Christ went from the literal son of god to the son of man under god's divine guidance, to a mystical king, was killed, rose from the dead, didn't rise from the dead, and the hymns have gone from Latin to Greek, to English, French, etc. Very few people read the original Aramaic language anymore, but the Koran is still in Arabic.
> Christians no longer kill each other in the name of Christ.
Well the people of Northern Ireland would be interested to know that. But we do mostly kill each other in the name of secular ideologies instead.
> Christ went from the literal son of god to the son of man under god's divine guidance
WTF are you talking about. Every mainstream Christian denomination still treats him as the son of God.
> Very few people read the original Aramaic language anymore
A lot more people read the original Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic now than during the 8th century.
Well the people of Northern Ireland would be interested to know that. But we do mostly kill each other in the name of secular ideologies instead.
I always forget about the bloody Irish and their catholic/protestant war.
True, we seem to kill each other in the name of secular ideologies instead, and don't forget about state We kill in the name of the state.
> Christianity has changed a lot since the 8th century. So has any other religion. But Islam is still the same.
So? One could interpret that to mean Christians have abandoned true Christianity.
