I was at an Indigo Girls concert on Saturday, and saw several t-shirts with “Protect Trans Kids” when I realized that there are no “Protect Gay Kids,” “Protect Lesbian Kids,” nor even any “Protect Bi-Sexual Kids.” I wondered if I would be kicked out by the “SeQueerity Team” if I had worn a shirt with any one of those shirts? It’s a rhetorical question of course, because I don’t have any such shirts. Would they even be allowed by Etsy or other services that distribute art but censor anything that is not pro-trans?
As an observer in this, being an old straight male, I have noticed that since the surge of transconcern, the forced teaming has meant that LGB kids are moved to the rear while trans-ID kids are put at the fore.
So, tell me if anyone is concerned about the treatment of LGB kids. Would you wear a shirt that reads “Protect LGB Kids?” I searched Bing for “Protect LGB kids” and it returned a some “Protect LGBTQ Kids” and even “Protect Trans Kids” articles and items for sale, but no “Protect LGB" kids.
So, here’s a thought. If I created t-shirts using a print-on-demand logo reading “Protect Gay Kids,” “Protect Lesbian Kids,” “Protect Bi Kids,” or “Protect LGB Kids,” with proceeds directed towards the LGB Alliance, would there be a demand for them?
If you read this, and think it’s a good idea, would you please share it around to test the waters?
This is not to be taken as any kind of thumb in the eye gesture against those kids who believe they are trans. I do think they need to be protected, both from bullying and from those who would rush them into affirmation-only medical pathways. This is a concept born from the observation that such kids are being set aside in favor of the trans agenda. Before you reply to this, do a search for “protect gay kids,” or any of the other non-trans kids under the umbrella. There’s nothing out there for them.
Sooner or later, the LGB community is going to realize that the Trans movement is only making things worse for them.
