Thank you for your candor on this issue. Something that I was tipped off to by Dylan Mulvaney is the fact that there must in fact be some gay men who apparently also experience autogynephilia. Whether or not the behaviour has mainly been reinforced during his so-called "Days Of Girlhood" I obviously have no idea, but I would be fascinated to discover the details.
I'm glad that you were able to work through this paraphilia, BTW. I know of one man who apparently works with men to help them discard what he calls the "feminine artefact" caused by the AGP and reclaim their lives from compulsive porn consumption and so on. He's not a qualified psychologist or therapist as far as I'm aware, but from what I've been able to discover any approach to the condition other than instant affirmation of the putative gender identity is a ticket to ejection from the practitioner's professional organisation and loss of their licence to practice pretty much across the board throughout the West. The societal implications of this approach are difficult to overstate IMO & I find that disconcerting to even think about.
